Mediasite Videos and Captioning

Mediasite provides cloud-based video storage within the Canvas LMS. Many of these videos include captioning. With the advent of a new school year, here are a few reminders regarding captioning and Mediasite:

• All videos should be titled following this naming process:
  • [Course Abbreviation, Course Number, Video Title]
    • Example: PHAR 555 Introduction to Pharmacy
  • Videos titled incorrectly and submitted for captioning will be returned to the instructor for corrections. These videos will then need to be resubmitted.
• All videos for online courses should be submitted for captioning.
• Videos for face-to-face courses are only captioned when the video is required viewing (rather than posted for review).
