Max Petty earns prestigious NIH F31 predoctoral fellowship

Max Petty, PhD candidate at the College of Biomedical and Translational Sciences at The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, was awarded a prestigious F31 fellowship from the National Institutes of Health for his research developing nanoparticles for targeted drug delivery in the retina.
The grant will support his PhD training and his research project titled “Development of Reconstituted High-Density Lipoprotein Nanoparticles for Targeted Delivery of Neuroprotective Agents to Retinal Ganglion Cells.”
Petty is mentored by Dr. Raghu Krishnamoorthy, associate professor of Pharmacology and Neuroscience at the North Texas Eye Research Institute.
