Dr. Stephen Mathew named graduate advisor for the Biochemistry and Cancer Biology Discipline

Dr. Stephen Mathew, Associate Professor in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology & Genetics, was named the new graduate advisor for the Biochemistry and Cancer Biology Discipline.
Dr. Mathew received his MS and PhD in Microbiology from R. D. University, Jabalpur, India, and worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a Clinical Research Manager before coming to HSC in 2002 for his postdoctoral fellowship.
The overarching goal of Dr. Mathew’s research focuses on deciphering the role of natural killer (NK) cell receptor-ligand interactions in different disease models. Dr. Mathew has a wealth of experience in graduate education, mentoring, advising, and people/project management.
