September 4, 2024 • CHP Highlights
What drew you to HSC and why did you accept a faculty position here?
I was drawn to the innovative and collaborative atmosphere I felt at UNTHSC. In addition, the opportunity to be part of the team starting a new degree program is unique and exciting.
Starting out as a new faculty member at HSC, what are your goals and what do you hope to accomplish during your time here?
My main goals are to help our program achieve accreditation, and to work towards ensuring our courses and curriculum are interactive, exciting, and engaging for our students so our graduates can confidently pass their exam and enter the workforce as Registered Dietitians!
What is something you would like for students or fellow faculty members to know about you?
I love dogs and cars! My husband and I regularly compete in autocross events and have 3 dogs- Henley, Deacon, and Ruger.
What are you reading, watching or listening to right now?
Formula 1 racing just returned from the summer break for the remainder of the season, so I’m watching the practice sessions, qualifying, and race every week!
