Bo Zhou, PhD
Assistant Professor of Pharmacotherapy
Education & Experience:
I received a BS and MS in Physics from Peking University and McMaster University respectively, and a PhD in Economics from the University of Southern California (USC). Following graduation, I completed my postdoctoral training at the Schaeffer Center for Health Policy and Economics, also at USC. Prior to my current position, I worked as a research assistant professor in Alfred E. Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and a research fellow in Schaeffer Center for Health Policy and Economics at USC.

Professional Activities & Awards:
I am a member of the American Society of Health Economists (ASHEcon) and International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR). I have received the Best Paper Award from Germany Economic Association and the Summer Fieldwork Grant from USC US-China Institute.
Scholarly Interests:
My primary research interest lies in the area of health economics and health outcomes research by analyzing real-world data. I am also experienced in health policy and chronic diseases management. My recent research interest focuses on health disparities, pharmacoepidemiology, patient reported outcomes, cancer epidemiology and outcomes, and applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning to healthcare research.
