PGY-1 Managed Care Pharmacy Residency- CVS Caremark Irving, TX

The Managed Care Pharmacy Residency- CVS Caremark PGY-1 Residency is delivered in partnership with the University of North Texas Health Science Center College of Pharmacy (HSCCP). The purpose of this program is to build upon the PharmD education and outcomes to develop pharmacist clinicians with diverse patient care, leadership, and education skills. The managed care residency training will provide systematic training of pharmacists to achieve professional competence in the delivery of patient care and managed care pharmacy practice. Pharmacy Residents will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that provides evidence-based optimal patient care. Additionally the program is designed to provide pharmacists with unique perspective of managed care.

PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency-Medical City Arlington

The Medical City Arlington PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency is delivered in partnership with The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, College of Pharmacy. Residents will participate in multiple practice areas, including but not limited to internal medicine, critical care, neonatal, cardiology, infectious disease, and management. Pharmacy Residents will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that provides evidence-based optimal patient care.

Non-Traditional Academic Resident – HSC College of Pharmacy

The non-traditional Academic Resident is a non-accredited post-graduate training program within the HSC College of Pharmacy. This program builds on Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and additional post-graduate training to contribute to the development of clinical faculty pharmacists in advanced or specialized areas of practice and teaching. This program provides the non-traditional resident with opportunities to transition to function independently as a faculty instructor and practitioner by conceptualizing and integrating accumulated experience and knowledge and incorporating both into the provision of teaching activities and patient care or other advance practice settings. Residents who successfully complete the non-traditional academic program will be prepared for a role as an assistant professor of pharmacotherapy or pharmacy practice and be positioned to practice in their chosen area of focus.
