PharmD Program Overview

As one of six schools at The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, HSC College of Pharmacy produces professionals who embrace a team-based approach in caring for patients.

The program prepares student pharmacists for the future of pharmacy and cultivates leaders in healthcare through a student-centered learning experience, an innovative curriculum delivered by nationally acclaimed faculty, and collaborative interprofessional and experiential training.

Curriculum

The PharmD curriculum consists of:

PY1: 40 credit hours + 100 hours of Community Pharmacy Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPE)

PY2: 35 credit hours (+ Electives) + 100 hours of Hospital Pharmacy Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPE)

PY3: 32 credit hours (+ Electives)

PY4: 42 credits – Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE)
