Life is a journey, enjoy the trip. Aim for the sky, but move slowly, enjoying every step along the way.

The Work Life Journey Committee strives to foster a wellness culture to promote the well-being of faculty, staff and students and the quality of the work they do.

A primary goal of the Work Life Journey Committee is to strengthen our culture to be more inclusive, transparent, collegial, efficient, and effective.  The committee supports and promotes health and wellness by offering educational programming, social events, and wellness activities.

Wellness encompasses 8 mutually interdependent dimensions: physical, intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual, occupational, financial, and environmental.

In addition, there are 7 dimensions that contribute to burnout and engagement: workload and job demands, control and flexibility, work-life integration, social support and community at work, organizational culture and values, efficiency and resources, and meaning in work.

The strategic plan for wellness focuses on each of these states of wellness.
