Team members from the College of Public Health at The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth recently participated in the Cook Children’s Medical Center Jane Justin School 4th annual 5K Wrangler Run/Walk.
The run unites students, families, friends and the broader community. Jane Justin School collaborates with families and the community to cultivate the knowledge and life skills required for students to lead purposeful and successful lives, all while honoring and embracing the unique qualities of each child. To fulfill this mission, the school adapts to the evolving needs of students and their families through a commitment to compassion and educational excellence.
Proceeds raised from this family-friendly race will benefit the school and participating students.
CPH faculty and family supporting and participating in the event included Dr. Tracey Barnett, Dr. Stacey Griner, Dr. Malinee Neelamegam, Dr. Charlotte Noble and Dr. Erika Thompson.
“My five-year-old son Dhruv, who attended the 5K event, is excelling at the Jane Justin School, and the Wrangler Run is a fantastic event that unites JJS families,” Neelamegam said. “As immigrants to this country, having our CPH family here to support Dhruv is incredibly meaningful to us.”
The College of Public Health eagerly anticipates joining in the Wrangler Run again next year.
