Environmental & Occupational Scholarship Awards

Two College of Public Health graduate students from the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences have received national scholarships in essay competitions related to their field of study.
Kikelomo (Kike) Akintunde (MPH ‘15) has won both the 3M Personal Safety Division’s Occupational Health and Safety Scholarship Award, as well as the Dr. Ralph Vernon Memorial Scholarship from the American Industrial Hygiene Foundation. As one of four national 3M award winners, Ms. Akintunde will also attend this year’s American Industrial Hygiene Conference in San Antonio in June.
Uloma Igara Uche (MPH ‘15) has been awarded a WorkCare Safety and Health Scholarship from the American Society of Safety Engineers.
