WHY DID YOU CHOOSE UNTHSC SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH?
I chose UNTHSC because I love the campus and the city of Fort Worth. Everything is very approachable for someone who grew up in a small town like me. For the Public Health program specifically, I wanted to enter the workforce with plenty of experience applying what I know to real-world practice and the 600 hours of practice experience allowed me to accomplish this.

HOW DO YOU PLAN ON APPLYING THE KNOWLEDGE YOU GAIN TO YOUR FUTURE CAREER?
With a concentration in Biostatistics and Data Science, I plan on using the skills gained in statistical programming and analysis to pursue a career in Data Analytics or Bioinformatics. I also have growing interest in Environmental Health and Sustainability that could be a possible career path I explore in the future working in either Agriculture or the Oil and Natural Gas industry, using my skills in data analysis to assist companies in making decisions that preserve the quality and health of the environment and the populations impacted by harmful industry operations.
