Microscopy Core adds Huygens-Image processing and analysis software to its toolkit

Huygens Essential is a powerful imaging software that allows users to process and analyze large sets of microscopy data. Developed by Scientific Volume Imaging, it is compatible with a wide range of microscope platforms, including widefield, confocal, and super-resolution systems. Huygens Essential offers a wide range of advanced image processing tools, including deconvolution, registration, and segmentation. It also provides support for a variety of file formats, including image stacks, multi-dimensional datasets, and time-lapse sequences.

The software utilizes a user-friendly interface that allows users to easily navigate through the various processing steps. Additionally, it offers a scripting interface, which allows users to create custom processing pipelines and automate repetitive tasks. One of the standout features of Huygens Essential is its ability to perform multi-view deconvolution, which increases the resolution and contrast of images obtained through microscopy. This is especially useful in situations where the imaging sample is thick or has a complex 3D structure. It also supports GPU acceleration, which allows for faster processing of large datasets. With its advanced features and wide range of compatibility, Huygens Essential will serve as an essential tool for researchers looking to analyze and understand the images obtained from microscopy experiments.
