The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth is one of the nation’s premier academic medical centers, with six schools that specialize in patient-centered education, research and health care, all located on a 33-acre campus in Fort Worth’s Cultural District. The university includes the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, the College of Biomedical and Translational Sciences, the College of Public Health, the College of Health Professions, the College of Pharmacy and the College of Nursing. HSC Health, the clinical component of HSC, welcomes patients from across the region, with physicians and health providers representing a myriad of medical specialties providing training opportunities for students. The campus includes a 140,000-square-foot Clinical Care Building, a 160,000-square-foot Center for Bio-Health and a 120,000-square-foot Medical Education and Training Building. The Interdisciplinary Research and Education Building, which opened in 2019, houses both teaching and research spaces. HSC offers students a comprehensive health science education all on one campus. Our student physicians, pharmacists, medical scientists, physician assistants, physical therapists and public health experts work side by side with faculty and staff to impact communities in Fort Worth and across Texas. HSC Fort Worth strives to create an atmosphere for students that stimulates learning and integrates extracurricular experiences into the formal learning programs. At HSC, preventative medicine is a way of life. We encourage our students to develop habits of leadership that will serve this community and the communities they choose in the future. This means developing personal and professional involvement in a wide range of community health activities. Support services are provided to students by the Division of Student Affairs. The main office is located in the Student Services Center. We hope you will rely on our Student Affairs staff to assist with your needs and concerns, both academically and personally, during your academic career at HSC.

Wellness Services is dedicated to promoting health and wellness on the HSC campus through various programming and campus activities. The Office of Health Promotion is located in the Founders’ Activity Center on the north end of campus. The FAC is the hub for physical fitness on the HSC campus. The FAC is open seven days a week to students, faculty, staff and community members. It includes multiple weight rooms, a room complete with new cardiovascular equipment, an outdoor basketball court, full-service locker rooms and group exercise classes for all members. Equipment orientations are available upon request. Personal training is available at competitive rates for HSC faculty, staff and students.
