Cailyn Alexander

Bio

Cailyn Alexander has a Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, with a minor in psychology. She comes to the university with years of retail and bank management experience. Cailyn’s role with the Department of IPEP is to coordinate and manage department initiatives. Cailyn is responsible for department records, contracts, budget preparation and tracking, and equipment and resources inventory. Additionally, Cailyn supports interprofessional education by coordinating with university services (IT, police, room scheduling, and facilities) to manage logistics for all interprofessional education programs.

Cynthia Carroll, MA, LPC, CPPS, PNAP

Director, Interprofessional Education and Practice

Bio

Cynthia Carroll earned a Master’s degree in clinical/counseling psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in psychology. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor with the state of Texas, a certified Master Trainer in TeamSTEPPS® (Team Strategies and Tools to Enhance Performance and Patient Safety), a Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma, a Certified Professional in Patient Safety, and a Professional Member of the National Academies of Practice. Cynthia’s professional experience includes in-patient substance abuse rehabilitation, personal counseling, emergency department behavioral health, and clinical communications education. Cynthia’s role in the Department of IPEP is in overseeing the curriculum design and outcomes of interprofessional student education and interprofessional faculty and preceptor development. Cynthia leads the university’s inter-institutional collaborations with Texas Christian University, Texas Wesleyan University, Texas Woman’s University, University of Texas at Arlington, and Tarrant County Community Colleges. Additionally, Cynthia is an adjunct instructor in Medical Education.

Emily Dos Santos

Emily Stuart, MS, LAT, ATC

Bio

Emily Stuart earned a master’s degree in sport pedagogy and a bachelor’s degree in athletic training. She is a nationally certified and Texas state licensed athletic trainer. Emily’s professional experience includes being the head athletic trainer in the high school setting and teaching high school science. Emily’s role within the Department of IPEP is developing and managing assessment and evaluation, data and metrics, and reporting of program outcomes. Emily is responsible for preparation, dissemination, and publication of interprofessional practice and education data and outcomes for program assessment and accreditation records, campus communications, conferences, and academic scholarship/journals.
