Christopher Cross and Air Supply to headline 2023 Legends Concert Series
Genre-defining five-time Grammy Award winner Christopher Cross and platinum-selling rock icons Air Supply will be the featured artists for the 2023 Legends Concert Series — The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth’s signature fundraising event.
This year’s concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. June 9 at Bass Performance Hall, 525 Commerce St. in Fort Worth. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.
The concert, presented by JPMorgan Chase & Co., will benefit HSC students and the establishment of HSC’s new College of Nursing. Since the 2013 launch of the series, the university has raised more than $2.5 million to support HSC initiatives.
Chairs for this year’s benefit concert are Fort Worth residents Michele and Fred Reynolds, with Paul Dorman serving as honorary chair. Michele serves on the UNTHSC Foundation Board as an emeritus member, and she received HSC’s VISION Award in 2015.
“We are honored to chair and support Legends this year,” Michele said. “My husband, Fred, and I have been involved with HSC for more than 15 years, and we continue to be amazed by the innovation and collaboration of the faculty, staff and students.
“This university is on the forefront of research, public health and clinical care. I know without a doubt that the funds raised at Legends will be used to create the innovative solutions our community so desperately needs.”
Joshua Worley received one of the Legends scholarships in 2021. The fourth-year Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine student said the financial support was life-changing.
“Receiving this scholarship allowed me to dedicate time to my family when I’m not studying while also lowering the financial burdens after graduation and residency,” he said. “This scholarship leaves a legacy of giving back, and I cannot wait to continue that legacy.”
Past Legends’ headliners have included ZZ Top, Trisha Yearwood, Dwight Yoakam, Kenny Loggins and Michael McDonald, Chicago, Vince Gill, Jay Leno and Clint Black.

About the Legends Performers
Throughout his four-decade career, Christopher Cross has won five Grammys, an Oscar, a Golden Globe, had five top-10 singles and sold 10 million albums. He is best known for his song “Sailing,” which was featured on his debut album. Air Supply was formed after its founding members, Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock, met in 1975 at their first day of rehearsal for “Jesus Christ Superstar.” The Australian duo quickly gained a reputation for incredible harmonies. They drafted a demo and have been captivating audiences at their live shows since. The band has released 17 studio albums, 13 compilation albums, four live albums and 27 singles during their peak era. They had seven top-five singles on the Billboard Hot 100 list from 1979 to 1983, including the No. 1 hit “The One That You Love.” In 2013, they were inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association Hall of Fame and celebrated their 40th anniversary in 2015.
