The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth recently won two Awards of Achievement for a video featuring its new College of Nursing and a media event surrounding the opening of its Regional Simulation Center.

The awards were presented Nov. 3 at the Annual Worthy Awards Gala put on by the Greater Fort Worth Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. The awards celebrate the best of the Fort Worth area’s public relations and strategic communications.

“It is always gratifying to be recognized by our peers in the industry,” said Paula Cobler, senior director of HSC Marketing & Communications. “I’m proud of the whole team and the great pride each person takes in making HSC shine through our website, social media channels, marketing materials and communication pieces.”

The College of Nursing video was first shown at the June 9 Legends Concert Series featuring Christopher Cross and Air Supply. The Award of Achievement for the media event featured a news release about the June grand opening of the HSC Regional Simulation Center, the first center of its kind in Texas to offer immersive virtual reality.

Those in HSC Marketing & Communications who worked on the projects were Cobler; Alexandria Ortiz, web marketing manager; Eric Griffey, senior communications specialist; and Noah Whitmore, videographer.
