UNTHSC stars named Fort Worth’s 40 under 40 winners

Two UNTHSC stars were recognized by the Fort Worth Business Press as the city’s 40 Under 40 top performers for 2012.

Dr. Sid O’Bryant was noted for leading the new Texas Alzheimer’s Research & Care Consortium, a collaborative group of scientist who are working to bring cures and innovative treatments to those who suffer from Alzheimer’s and age-related diseases. A brilliant researcher, O’Bryant builds bridges across institutions as he seeks to bring new advances in Alzheimer’s research and treatment from the lab to those in need. A flashing smile, professional organizational skills and the ability to relate to all levels and ages make him a invaluable to the Health Science Center and a shining star in the community.

Blair Chappell, physician recruiter for UNT Health, was noted for her involvement with the Junior League and the Cowtown, among other achievements. With her unique ability to determine appropriate fits in both the health care and business communities, Chappell’s insight and professional judgment make her a valuable asset to the Fort Worth community. A Fort Worth native and graduate of Arlington Heights High School, Chappell’s heart belongs to Fort Worth, and she demonstrates that in everything she does.
