2nd Annual North Texas Health Forum Targets Asthma

Noreen M. Clark, PhD, the Wegman Distinguished University Professor of Public Health and director of the Center for Managing Chronic Disease at the University of Michigan, will hold the keynote address at the 2nd Annual North Texas Health Forum on April 2.  Clark is national program director for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Allies Against Asthma and will discuss "Community Collaboration and Asthma Control."

Workshops – free and open to the public – will be held on April 3 from 8 a.m. to noon and focus on preventing and controlling asthma, as well as strategies for improving outcomes in asthma patients.

Asthma is the largest chronic medical condition among children in the DFW area.  Typically, it’s the primary diagnosis for admission to children’s hospitals.
