Dr. Ransom honored for contributions to medical management
Dr. Scott Ransom, president of the UNT Health Science Center, was recently awarded the American College of Physician Executives Distinguished Fellowship- the group’s highest level of achievement.
ACPE’s Board of Directors honored Dr. Ransom as a Distinguished Fellow for making exemplary and enduring contributions to the knowledge and advancement of medical management.
"Distinguished Fellowship is the highest honor bestowed on a physician leader. Dr. Ransom is one of only 65 physicians who have achieved this award in the last 30 years," said Dr. Stephen C. Schoenbaum, president of ACPE’s Board of Directors.
ACPE is the nation’s largest organization of physicians in health care leadership. A non-profit organization, the College is recognized by the American Medical Association as the specialty society representing physicians in management and holds a seat in the AMA House of Delegates.
