Evening with a Legend raises funds for UNTHSC mission

“An Evening with a Legend” featuring Jay Leno was one of the most successful fundraising events in UNT Health Science Center history, raising valuable funds to benefit the University’s research, education and health care mission.

Leno, the long-time host of “The Tonight Show,” performed Nov. 6 before a full-house audience at Bass Performance Hall.

Prior to the performance, more than 240 guests mingled and posed for photographs with the comedian at a VIP reception in McDavid Studio.

As part of the event presented by Chase and J.P. Morgan, the University raffled a 1953 MG TD Roadster generously donated by Paun and Magdaline Peters. More than 500 tickets were purchased for the raffle won by Dr. Bill McIntosh, DO, a UNTHSC faculty member.

Pati and Bill Meadows served as Chairs for this year’s event. Kay and Ben Fortson were Honorary Chairs.
