Executive Administrative Director Named at UNT Health

 

UNT Health, the physician group affiliated with the University of North Texas Health Science Center, has named Robert M. Carlson as administrative executive director for the Patient Care Center.

The appointment was made by UNT Health President and Executive Vice President for the Health Science Center Kathleen Forbes, M.D.

Carlson, as the administrative executive director at the Patient Care Center (PCC), will oversee all clinic operations and medical staff coordination. The PCC is located at the UNT Health Science Center campus, 855 Montgomery St., and houses various patient clinics including pediatrics, family practice, internal medicine, orthopaedics and other subspecialty clinics.

Most recently the executive director of the Tulane Clinic Operations in New Orleans, La., Carlson has more than 30 years of healthcare management and operations experience. He also served in the Medical Service Corp of the U.S. Naval Reserve, where he retired as commander.

Carlson also holds a Master of Education with emphasis in Public Health from the University of Toledo, Toledo, Ohio.
