Health Science Center announces new VP of development
The University of North Texas Health Science Center, Fort Worth’s medical school and more, announces the appointment of Gary Grant as its new vice president of development.
Grant comes to the Health Science Center from the national Alzheimer’s Association, where he served as their director of major gifts for five years. In his first three years there, he more than doubled the program’s donations received and helped develop a $15-million-per-year fundraising operation.
He received a Juris Doctor degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology Kent College of Law and a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Chicago.
Prior to the National Alzheimer’s Association, Grant worked with the University of Chicago Medical Center, the University of Chicago, and the National Clearinghouse for Legal Services, now called the National Center on Poverty Law.
He has co-written three books about fundraising and the Internet, and has been a presenter for numerous online classes, professional development seminars, and using the Internet for fundraising programs.
