By Diane Smith
The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth and the City of Fort Worth have joined communication resources in an effort to keep the public educated about COVID-19 and the safety measures activated to combat it.
The coronavirus pandemic’s impact on communities is evolving. The City of Fort Worth declared a public emergency on March 18 because of the ongoing COVID-19 situation.
As public health experts, health professionals and community leaders work to address emerging cases, HSC Fort Worth is working with the city to keep the public up-to-date about safety measures.
Efforts underway include a 24-hour COVID-19 Information Line that will be manned by volunteers from HSC Fort Worth. The phone number is 817-248-6299.
More information will be available online and HSC’s official social media channels.
