HSC, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics collecting donations during DFW Toys for Tots event
The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth (HSC) and Lockheed Martin Aeronautics are collecting donations for DFW Toys for Tots.
HSC and Lockheed are collaborating to host a FOX 4 media event for DFW Toys for Tots, Tuesday, Nov. 30 from 6-9 p.m. at HSC Health Pavilion (855 Montgomery St. Ft. Worth, TX 76107). The event continues the tradition of giving, including monetary donations, bicycles and toys for children in North Texas.
Pro Football Hall-of-Famer Drew Pearson will be in attendance. Pearson, a former Dallas Cowboys receiver, was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame earlier this year.
People can bring new, unwrapped toys or bicycles to the Nov. 30 event. For everyone’s safety, this will be a drive-through event.
Toys and donations will support Toys for Tots and an upcoming Remote Area Medical (RAM®) pop-up clinic in Fort Worth in December.
Remote Area Medical (RAM®), a major nonprofit provider of pop-up clinics delivering free, quality, dental, vision, and medical care to underserved and uninsured individuals, is bringing a free clinic to Fort Worth on Dec. 11-12.
HSC and Hillwood, a Perot Company, and United Way of Tarrant County have teamed to host the clinic.
The free clinic will provide dental, vision, and medical services to patients on a first-come, first-served basis at Hillwood’s Aviator Way building located within Fort Worth’s Alliance corridor, located near Alliance Airport at 13901 Aviator Way, Fort Worth, 76177. All RAM services are free and no ID is required.
Services available at the RAM clinic include dental cleanings, dental fillings, dental extractions, dental x-rays, eye exams, glaucoma testing, eyeglass prescriptions, eyeglasses made on-site, women’s health exams, and general medical exams.
