Dr. Pawankumar Gulabrao Patil, an alumnus of UNT Health Science Center’s School of Public Health, has a story that reads like a movie script, according to The Better India.
The publication describes him as an unsung hero who has returned home and is making a difference in improving living conditions in his native country.
Dr. Patil (MPH, Community Health, ’14) is featured in a story explaining how he developed a device that brought clean hand-washing to 16 remote villages in India and how he involved entire communities – starting with children – in his effort.
