UNT Health receives 100 percent on audit from Tarrant County Public Health Department
The Pediatrics Department of UNT Health, the physicians group at UNT Health Science Center, received a perfect 100 score in an evaluation by Tarrant County Public Health. The average score for such audits by Tarrant County is 85 percent.
The county health department provides immunizations to UNT Health through a state-funded program. This program allows doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and certified nurse-midwives to administer vaccinations to children at a minimum cost to the patient.
To conduct the audit, the health department evaluated 75 random patient charts and examined the refrigerator holding vaccinations to ensure the temperature log had been properly filled out twice a day, along with several other measures evaluated by inspectors.
