UNTHSC hosts AAdAsdisease detectivesAfAoA from Girls Inc.
Girls Inc. Smart Camp conducted a Disease Detectives session for 14 students ages 12 to 17 on campus. The students spent the week dealing with a fictitious disease outbreak, determining the best way to protect public safety and doing hands-on activities in UNTHSC’s simulation lab. Melissa Oden, MPH (‘06), DHEd, president of the School of Public Health (SPH) Alumni Association, collaborated with SPH students on the camp. Oden is vice president of program development for Girls Inc.
