Trash & Recycling Collection: A Change to a More Efficient System
HSC Facilities is phasing in a change throughout campus to trash and recycling collection. In order to increase efficiency and save resources, we are creating a conveniently located trash and recycling center in your work area.
What this means for you is that trash and recycling no longer will be collected from individual offices or desk areas. When we come to your area we will inform and If you would prefer to keep a trash can and/or recycling bin in your office or desk area, you would simply put a sticky note that says “KEEP” on them. You will then be responsible for emptying those receptacles at the end of each day at the trash and recycling center in your work area. All office trash cans and/or recycling bins without notes on them will be removed. Please note that this does not apply to the HIPAA collection bins where employees place documents for shredding.
