Laurie Bailey, PhD

Dr. Bailey is the Director of Research Data Science and Analytics at Cook Children’s Health Care System. Her career at Cook Children’s began in 2002, working in the Life After Cancer Program in the Hematology & Oncology Center. She conducted research in the areas of quality of life and cognitive outcomes of cancer therapy in pediatric cancer survivors for eight years. She then transitioned to the Research department where she conducted research in the areas of epilepsy, movement disorder, and neurosurgery while working with neurologists and neurosurgeons in the Jane and John Justin Neurosciences Center. As part of her ongoing effort to continually expand the breadth and depth of investigator-initiated research at Cook Children’s, she accepted the role of Director in the newly formed division of Research Data Science & Analytics in 2019. This division was developed to accelerate data-driven research, promote collaboration, and train future leaders. The division connects data science experts with investigators in all fields to spark discovery and pairs research scientists with investigators to provide comprehensive research support for investigators pursuing investigator-initiated research at Cook Children’s.

A Texas native, Dr. Bailey earned a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from the University of North Texas in Denton, TX and a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in counseling psychology from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, TX.

Priya Bui, DO

Dr. Priya Bui is the Chair of the Department of Pediatrics and Women’s Health and a graduate of the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine and has been with the department since 2014. She has been the Clinical Chief of Pediatrics since 2017, where she enjoys her clinical practice caring for newborns to teenagers. Prior to her medical school and residency, she completed a pre-doctoral Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. She completed her residency training at the Oklahoma University Pediatric Residency in Tulsa. She was the Graduate Pediatric Residency Program Physician of the Year.

Dr. Bui is a mentor for the student Pediatric Research Program and was the Director and Founder of the Teen Clinic and Asthma Clinic initiative. She is the developer for innovations such as the pediatric mental health wellness calls program and a drive-up vaccine option protocol for patients. She has served as a member of the Education Committee and Quality Improvement Committee at HSC. She was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society in 2017 and served on the Gold Humanism Advisory Committee from 2018-2020. Dr. Bui is on the Medical Education Academic Committee at Cook Children’s Hospital, a physician leader for Healthy Steps and served on the Asthma 411 Medical Advisory Council.

Dr. Bui was the recipient of the Pediatric Teacher of the Year in 2016, 2018 and 2020. She has been named a Top Doc by Fort Worth Magazine five straight years, 2016 through 2020. DFW Magazine also named her a Top Doctor in 2018 and 2019.  Dr. Bui received the “Mom Approved Award” in 2017 from Fort Worth Child Magazine.

Her interests include holistic care, preventative medicine, integrative mental health, and racial disparities. She has three energetic young children and is married to her spouse who is also a dedicated primary care physician.

Pam McFadden

Pam McFadden is known for incorporating adult learning principles and specific educational design criteria in the development and execution of continuing education courses for health professionals. She works directly with boards and committees for program development and ensures that all necessary resources are secured for this self-supported program.

McFadden has successfully modeled and inspired a vision of present value and future direction for INCEDO. She has set the strategic direction aligning with institutional priorities.  She continues to analyze trends that may influence INCEDO while articulating the big picture of continuing education.  She approaches her program from a system-thinking perspective to include the provider/patient keeping in mind the complex healthcare system and while developing the team needed to deliver optimal provider/patient education.

David Schneider, MD

F. David Schneider, M.D., is Professor and Chair of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Schneider earned his medical degree at the Boston University School of Medicine. Following his residency in family medicine at Duke University he received advanced training in academic family medicine through a fellowship at the University of Missouri, where he also earned a master of science in public health in epidemiology. Prior to his arrival at UT Southwestern, Dr. Schneider was Chair of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Saint Louis University from 2008 to 2017. Prior to his time in St. Louis, he served as a faculty member at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he was also Director of medical student education, residency program director, and vice chair.

Dr. Schneider is the founding President of the Academy on Violence and Abuse, and he serves on the board of directors of the Association of Departments of Family Medicine. He previously served as Chair of the National Health Collaborative on Violence and Abuse, President of the Texas Academy of Family Physicians, and Chair of the American Academy of Family Physicians Commission on Public Health. Dr. Schneider teaches and does research on violence and its adverse effects on health, and the care of patients with chronic, non-malignant pain.

Robert A. Strzinek, DO, PhD

Robert A. Strzinek, DO, PhD, at Texas Familicare Medical Group, PLLC.  In addition to practicing medicine, works with his son, Wade, in Protenium Clinical Research, a clinical research facility Dr. Strzinek founded in 2000 that specializes in Phase 1-4 research trails. Since 1999, Dr. Strzinek has served as principal investigator in more than 100 Phase 1-4 clinical trials related to the development of medications for the treatment of diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, GI disorders, and men’s and women’s health issues.

Dr. Strzinek has also served as the Director of Immunology for Helena Laboratories in Beaumont, Texas, where he was involved in the development of immunological assay procedures for serum proteins and immunoglobulins.

A Dallas native, he received PhD in biology/chemistry from the University of North Texas and his DO degree from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1978. He earned a BS in chemistry from Abilene Christian University.

He is board certified in family medicine and has practiced in the mid-cities area since 1979

Richard Young, MD

Dr. Young was born in Fort Worth, TX. He obtained his Chemical Engineering B.S. at UT- Austin and then went to UT Health Science Center in San Antonio for medical school, receiving his Medical Degree. Dr. Young completed his residency at JPS Family Residency, where he has been Faculty more or less since 1993.

Dr. Richard Young is a proud member of the North American Primary Care Research Group for about 16 years, U.S. Co-Chair of the Cost Analysis Work Group of the Committee for the Advancement of the Science of Family Medicine.

His research lately has been mostly health services research and in his spare time, he like to spend time with his wife since they are an empty nester now after raising 3 beautiful children.

Annesha White, PharmD

Annesha White, PharmD, MS, PhD, is Associate Dean for Assessment and Accreditation, Associate Professor at the University of North Texas, System College of Pharmacy. She educates pharmacy students on pharmacoeconomics, outcomes research, and health policy. A natural extension of her outcomes research background includes the assessment of programmatic outcomes for the college.

She has worked on funded projects with the Florida Medicaid program including studies on COX-2 Inhibitors, Hepatitis C and End Stage Renal Disease. She also worked at the Government Accountability Office (the investigative arm of Congress), resulting in a publication, Federal Employees’ Health Benefits: Effects of Using Pharmacy Benefit Managers on Health Plans, Enrollees, and Pharmacies. Dr. White has published peer-reviewed articles, a textbook entitled Introduction to the Pharmacy Profession and serves on the Editorial Board for several journals. Her outcomes research and pharmacoeconomic focused projects focus on patient safety, hormonal contraceptives, pain management and enhancing college curricula to address the growing need to develop innovative ways to improve patient health outcomes.

Patricia Rodriguez, MD

Dr. Patricia Rodriguez is a board-certified pediatrician currently serving as Chief Medical Officer for North Texas Area Community Health Center (NTACHC) who possess a strong combination of healthcare insight and expertise in community health, healthcare quality and safety, as well health equity. She is a passionate healthcare advocate for vulnerable and underserved patient populations. Dr. Rodriguez holds a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas McGovern Medical School and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Texas A&M University.
