The deadline for submitting abstracts for RAD 2024 is Friday, February 9, 2024 at 11:59 PM CST.

You are only allowed to serve as the presenter for one competition poster. If you are first author on other research and you want it entered for competition, you would designate another student co-author to be the presenter. Since RAD 2024 is virtual, the presenter is required to record a video presentation for the poster.

The IACUC Approval Letter is the letter showing the protocol used for the study was approved by the IACUC.

The IRB Determination Letter includes an approval letter or other type of determination (Exempt, Not Human Subjects Research) from the IRB.

If you do not have a copy, please contact your mentor or advisor to determine if they are needed.

To prepare for your RAD submission, please reach out to the appropriate research compliance office (IACUC for animal research at IACUC@unthsc.edu -or- NTR IRB for human subject research at NorthTexRegIRB@unthsc.edu) to ensure you have appropriate approval for your research project before submissions open.

No, case studies do not need to be submitted into the IRB as these are not considered to be human subject research. However, if it is a chart review, that requires IRB review/determination.

For questions about your research topic or the content of your submission, please contact your mentor or advisor. For questions about writing an abstract or poster/video creation, please contact the library or visit Prep Sessions to see the whole list of available resources.

TCU School of Medicine students are not part of RAD this year. Please contact Mike Bernas at TCU MD School.
