Signature Programs and Services
CAP offers students the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a learning specialist t o create individualized success plans. This includes discussing topics such as active learning strategies, time management, test-taking skills, prioritization and more. Students can meet multiple times to help with accountability and to hone their skills.
Students can request one-on-one and small-group tutoring for content-specific questions. Large group tutorials and drop-in sessions are open to all students.
The CAP writing coordinator offers individual support so that students can receive immediate feedback and improve their writing skills. Students also can submit a paper online to receive written feedback about organization, development, syntax, grammar, punctuation and spelling.
These student-led, low-c os t summer workshops are open to all incoming DPT, P A, Pharmacy and TCOM students. Incoming students have the opportunity to refresh their knowledge, be exposed to curriculum teaching/learning styles and meet new classmates.

Early Intervention Strategies
CAP collaborates with schools and colleges to identify students experiencing academic challenges early and connect them with resources and support services.
Collaboration with Faculty and Departments on Pre-Matriculation Workshops
The CAP office collaborates with differ ent faculty members to coordinate workshop dates, verify content and provide a presence to incoming students. Staff members work closely with faculty to ensure students get the best possible learning experience while at HSC.
