• FAC designated spots at the Fitness Center front door and at the bottom of the hill are reserved for FAC members only (community, faculty, staff, & students).   
  • There is a two-hour limit to park in those spots during the hours of 8 am- 5pm Monday through Friday. Faculty, staff, & student members are expected to park in the parking lots designated by the type of permit they have. Students (clinical rotation students) – or anyone who does not have an HSC parking permit – that comes to campus to use the Fitness Center can purchase a day or monthly pass from the HSC Parking Office, or use the Park Mobile parking spot for $1.10/hr
  • Community members must display the parking pass issued by the Parking Office when they sign up for membership. If a community member did not receive a tag, please have them email fitnesscenter@unthsc.edu.  
  • Guests who utilize the Fitness Center can use the Park Mobile spots at the bottom of the hill or go to the Parking Office to receive a free guest parking permit. 

Answer: We offer a year-round price of $200 for our employees, alumni and retirees of HSC which reduces the cost to $16.67/month, and $300 for community members, which reduces the cost to $25 per month

Answer: In order to stop payroll deduction, a payroll deduction form must be filled out and signed under the Terminate section. Payroll deduction forms can be found on our website under membership forms. Forms can be emailed to fitnesscenter@unthsc.edu or dropped off at the fitness center.

Answer: No one under the age of 16 years of age is allowed in the Fitness Center under any circumstances (includes use of the outdoor multi-purpose court). Anyone who wishes to utilize any of the Fitness Center amenities must be 16 years of age and must be a member of the facility.

Answer: No. The Fitness Center does not allow anyone under the age of 16 years in the facility under any circumstances. (This includes use of the outdoor multi-purpose court.)

Answer: You can sign up by visiting the front desk at the Fitness Center. You will need to complete the Fitness Center Waiver and Standards of Conduct form. Once the forms are on file, you can begin working out!

For HSC employees, you can either utilize the payroll deduction option or you can pay upfront for a membership of 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months or 12 months via debit/credit at the fitness center front desk. See the Membership Rates page for current pricing.

Answer: Unfortunately, your spouse/significant other/or dependent cannot be added to your payroll deduction. However, they are still eligible for membership. See the Membership Rates page for requirements and fees for community members.

Answer: Yes. Any fitness center member is able to bring a guest with them for a $5 day use fee. The fitness center does offer a guest pass good for 3 free visits to guests before initiating the $5 guest fee. For more questions on this policy, please email FitnessCenter@unthsc.edu.

Answer: Yes. Showers are available in both the men and women’s locker rooms. Shower towels can be checked out at the front desk. Wall mounted hair dryers are also available in each locker room as well.

Answer: Yes! The Fitness Center is open to alumni, community, and retiree members. For prices and requirements, please visit our Membership Rate.

Answer: Yes. The fitness center has several pieces of equipment available to check out for use off campus.
