Summary for Poster:
Curricular adaptations such as nocturnal “night float” hospital rotations have been implemented by residency programs as a result of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) duty hour restrictions. As a result, residents on these night float rotations often have little to no direct supervision by attending physicians; therefore, limited opportunities exist for teaching by faculty. Although these rotations represent a unique niche to facilitate learning opportunities, these opportunities are often unfulfilled.
Institution of a module-based night float curriculum was offered as a potential solution that would address the needs of resident learners (targeting PGY-1 residents specifically, but applicable to all residents), while incorporating evaluation techniques using ACGME milestone competencies.
