Family Medicine Program

Lake Granbury Medical Center will be the area’s provider of choice by delivering quality care and service. Mission: LGMC Family Medicine Residency will improve health and promote well-being in the communities we serve by providing exceptional physician training and high quality, holistic, patient-centered care.

LGMC Family Medicine Residency aims to:

• Train future family physicians utilizing a comprehensive, competency-based residency curriculum that will provide them with advanced skills in delivering evidence-based, holistic, patient-centered care for rural and underserved populations representative of the State of Texas.
• Train residents across multiple, diverse settings within our health system and community, where they will learn the essentials of managing patients in a team-based setting, leveraging continuity of care across the age spectrum and sites of care.
• Recruit a diverse cohort of residents who demonstrate professionalism, value teamwork and well-being, provide holistic patient-centered care, and desire to remain in Texas after residency.
• Foster collaborations within and outside the local medical community through innovative educational programs that support learner interests and result in scholarly activity.
