January 15, 2022 • January 2022, Serve Others First, VOTM
Nominated by Dr. Suresh Madhavan for Serve Others First
Mr. Coyle epitomizes service in every possible way. He works quietly and unassumingly to help students, faculty, and staff and is admired by everyone. He is just a text message away for a question about student services, classroom or lab needs, or IT. Looking back since the pandemic started in March 2020, Mr. Coyle has been at the forefront of our college’s response coordinating the critical IT needs of our faculty, staff, and students helping our student navigators to respond to student computer needs and the training necessary for them to take virtual classes; training our faculty and staff in the use of Zoom; and, assisting with trouble shooting of issues related to student and faculty IT matters. Mr. Coyle handles numerous calls every day from all those impacted and is patient and helpful with everyone. His job and contributions are very time-consuming and he is often the first to arrive and the last to leave the office. Mr. Coyle has built a strong support team consisting of student navigators and program managers. He has been the go-to person for our data needs and is currently working with a project manager and the HSC IT department to help create dash boards for all our future data and information needs. He consistently goes out of his way to help others. His greatest strengths are a strong dedication to our mission, positive attitudes, and great problem-solving skills. Mr. Coyle is the type of person that the Valubility of the Month Award is meant to recognize.
