Waco Family Medicine Residency Program in Waco, TX
Biography:
I was born in California but ended up a Texas transplant at age 17. After attending Baylor University, I pursued a career in medicine and am a proud alumnus of UNTHSC-TCOM. I now work as an FP/OB faculty physician for the Waco Family Medicine Residency program in the heart of Texas where I live with my wonderful husband, 10 month old daughter and 2 sweet pups.
Summary for Poster:
Morning report (MR) is a widely accepted institution used in academic medicine to sharpen diagnostic acumen and cultivate clinical skills for budding physicians. MR for our primary teaching service lacked structure and readily available evidence-based materials, making consistency and quality fluctuant at best. Our curriculum focused on creating a scaffold to guide effective case presentation with trusted resources to foster thorough diagnostic differential building and clinical decision making.
Zachary Sartor, MD

Biography:
I was born in Abilene, TX where I lived until I went to college at Baylor University, graduating in 2012. I graduated from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Lubbock, TX in 2016 and finished family medicine training in Waco, TX in 2019. I am a faculty physician at the Waco residency program and live in Waco, TX.
