Food insecurity
HSC Student Food Pantry
The HSC Care Team has recognized that in order for students to be well and succeed academically, basic needs must be addressed. As a result, the Division of Student Affairs has established a student pantry on campus in an effort to assist HSC students impacted by food insecurity.
Student Service Center Location
Any current HSC student in need can visit the food pantry.
- Hours: 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
- Location: Student Services Center Room 180.
The use of the HSC food pantry does not require application or approval. It is available to any student in need, but please weigh and record everything taken. The Division of Student Affairs has established protocols that allow for student confidentiality and dignity to be maintained and respected.
Students who visit the food pantry can request to meet with a staff member to discuss any difficulties they may be facing by checking-in at the front desk of Student Affairs on the 2nd floor of the Student Service Center and simply asking to meet with a staff member from the Care Team. Students can also choose to email the Care Team to set up an appointment as well. When appropriate, referral to additional campus and/or community resources will be made.
