Councils
The Division of Student & Academic Affairs Employee Councils promote leadership development, collaboration, and address opportunities for improvement throughout the Division.
Community and Belonging Council
Charge: Develop and implement quarterly social activities for DSAA team members and create opportunities for engagement throughout the division. (Socials, lunches, games, snack breaks, and department mixers)
Council Member Commitment: 1-year commitment with the option for five members to remain from the previous year.
Gallup and Professional Development Council
Charge: Coordinate and schedule quarterly professional development opportunities for DSAA team members related to Gallup Engagement Survey. The Council will utilize the DSAA Gallup Engagement Survey results to identify professional development activities. In addition, coordinate and schedule hot topic presenters and speakers for DSAA Divisional meetings and throughout the year. Conduct a needs assessment of DSAA annually to determine potential topics.
Council Member Commitment: 2-year commitment, this allows for roll-off without loss of historical information.
New Employee Onboarding Council
Charge: Meet every two to three months with new hires to welcome and immerse them in DSAA culture and experiences.
Council Member Commitment: 1-year commitment.
